Antique Furniture Restoration and Conservation across the Channel Islands and UK
Philip Burrows is a second generation, fully Accredited antique furniture restorer and conservator based in Guernsey, working throughout the Channel Islands and across the UK.
Working with private clients, collectors, dealers, historic houses and institutions, Philip undertakes the restoration and conservation of antique furniture, decorative objects and historic interiors, combining traditional craftsmanship with established conservation principles.
Each project is approached according to the individual object, from sensitive conservation and stabilisation through to more extensive restoration where appropriate.
Accreditation & Professional Roles
Philip is an Accredited Member of the British Antique Furniture Restorers' Association (BAFRA) following a rigorous assessment of his practical skills, technical knowledge, professional judgement and working practices.
He is also actively involved in the wider profession, serving on the Committees of the Institute of Conservation's Furniture and Woodwork Group, the Furniture History Society's Early Career Group, and BAFRA.
