Philip Burrows is an antique furniture restorer and conservator based in Guernsey, Channel Islands. He works with private clients, collectors, historic houses and museums, specialising in the restoration and conservation of English and European furniture from the 17th to 19th centuries.
Work is undertaken using historically appropriate materials and techniques, with an emphasis on structural integrity, surface preservation and long-term stability.
Professional Involvement
Philip is actively involved in the wider professional sector, currently chairing the British Antique Furniture Restorers' Association (BAFRA), sitting on the Furniture and Woodwork Group committee of the Institute of Conservation (Icon), and serving as a committee member of the Furniture History Society Early Career Group.
